Peace be upon you.
Today was interesting for me. I had my first and last auto practical. It was such an experience. Lol. Let's start from A to Z shall we?
Before I approached the car, there was a bunch of instructors hanging out and looking at this particular car in front of my car. I didn't expect anything so I just entered my car. After exchanging "Hellos", the first question my instructor asked was, "Were you shock or not?"
I was like ??> and so he pointed to the car in front.
O.O

OH my goodness the front left didn't look like a car! So he went on, "This was an auto test car. The person was just about to finish his TP but he go bang the gate. I think he wanted to depress the break but accidentally depress the accelerator. So there goes his license".
Hearing the story, I didnt know whether to emphathize or laugh. I would emphathize because the person could have passed! It was the very last lap which is to just drop the tester by the kerb and walaaah! You got your license baby, unless you did badly for the test route. But I would also laugh, ok maybe not, just confused and puzzled as to why the person could mistake the break as the accelerator, after the many many times of practicals he/she had?! More scary, the condition of the car after the accident is as good as the cars which got into an accident on the major roads.
So anyway, I kinda got scared to drive an auto after seeing the car. My instructor: Driving a manual is better because you have more control over the machine but after this lesson you will regret learning manual because auto is very much easier.

ironic sungguh.
Yes, auto was much much more easier but I wish to avoid driving an auto. It was funnn driving auto because I could speed all I want with no gear changing needed but I was kinda sleepy. And I realized I drove faster when Im sleepy and that's not a good sign. Luckily, Andy (the instructor) was a talkative guy and kept me awake a little. He was not instructing, nor guiding, nor observing me driving. Instead, he helped me paste my booklet, staple my TP receipt and some other stuff. So ape lagii... I took over the car laaa..hehehe.. & trying to keep myself alert at the same time. =/ But he knew it if I didnt check my blindspots and mirrors. -_-
Conclusion, I rather go with manual, no matter how tired or how slow I might drive. :)
