Hey guys! Alright for the past few weeks I've been rotting at home. (=
So I don't really have something interesting to blog about; except the family gathering and stuffs.
HOWEVER, I do have something to talk about today.
It all started from yesterday alright. I was sleeping soundly in the early morning when the Admin Manager from Singapore American School called me at 8.30am asking whether or not i would like to work from Monday(yesterday) till Wednesday(tomorrow), cause they are in need of a substitute for a teacher who's on leave.
I was shocked to receive that call because firstly, I was totally unprepared and secondly, I'm suppose to bake cookies, and thirdly, isn't it a bit to late??
And so I reached SAS at 10.45am. Still sleepy thank you. I was
LOST in that
HUGE school. I was then brought to the class. I was
NERVOUS! First impression: WOW! The school's system is totally like the WEST. I just couldn't explain it in words but early childhood teachers out there should understand what i'm trying to convey. It's totally COOL! Ok I think I'm going to have a long post now.
I shall comment about the environment first.
The CLASSROOM: It's obviously
clearly delineated and despite the limited space, there's many relevant learning corners for the kids. The classroom was decorated with the kid's work and it's colourful! Of course, it's neither like a flea market nor a dentist's room. (=
The SCHOOL: SUPERB.fulstop. there's a spot for sand play, for swimming, art, music. Everywhere around the school.
Very stimulating! I guess it's almost a perfect institution, from the pre-kindergarten to the high school. (=
The CANTEEN: Very
UNIQUE I must say. Kids are trained to use the divided tray or whatever it's called for their meals. They can choose whatever they want to eat and they can have more if they want to. Not like typical local childcare centres, the kid's food are rationed.
The KIDS: They are beautiful and gorgeous and smart. I swear I love them. (= They are independent. They are mischievous. They are
LOVING. They are everything. I think I won't forget three kids: ISABELLE the
CALIFORNIA girl and also the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. JAMES the one with the killer dimples. NATALIE a child from another class who just suddenly came over during the mass play time and hug me, and wouldn't want to let me go.. Awww.. =D And really, the SAS kids aren't like normal school kids. They speak
VERY fluent and accurate english. The colour of their eyes ranges from blue to grey to green to torquoise to brown.
The STAFFS: They are absolutely warm and friendly beings. My "home-teacher" is CANADIAN and I really thought she's chinese with very good english. Scoldings will never be seen in SAS,only firm and assertive reinforcement.
My first day at work was fine, except for the part a boy was "lost" and i got "scolded" by the teacher. Thanks alot.
My second was so fine. I love! (=
I think I can write more but I'm tired. Overall, I would really like to come back to SAS after my Diploma, that is if I'm unable to enrol in the university. From there, I already have my own plans in mind. =D
And yes.
I'm So In LOVE with PUTERA.ok bye.
